At johnson county library we offer a mosaic of creative programming for young adults ages 12-18. Like a mosiac, each program is a colorful piece of our overall hope to be a place where the creative teenager will find both options and outlets to display and enhance their creativity.

i'm a writer--poetry mostly. i have a BA in Language Literature & Writing with an emphasis in Creative Writing from the University of Kansas. currently, i am a graduate student in Library and Information Science at Emporia State University. i plan and implement creative programming for young adults in a public library & I do a bit of the same thing but more as an outreach source to the surrounding community and to the pediatrics wing of a hospital~via or on behalf of a practicum/ independent study at an urban medical library.
